Design-use notice: This is a blank design resource created exclusively for UI/UX mockups, QA testing, education and portfolio presentation. It is not issued by EDF, does not represent an active energy account and cannot confirm a person’s identity, residential address or utility service. Use it only with fictional or clearly labelled sample information.

About This Template

EDF is a UK energy supplier providing electricity and gas services to residential and business customers. Customers may obtain electricity only, gas only or both services through a dual-fuel arrangement.

This blank template recreates the general content hierarchy commonly associated with an EDF household energy statement, including an account-summary area, billing period, tariff information, meter readings, usage calculations and payment totals.

The file contains no customer records, active account details or verified residential information. All editable fields should remain blank or be populated only with clearly fictional sample data.

What This Template Is For

The EDF Energy bill template can be used legally for:

  • UI and UX mockups: Create billing dashboards, customer portals, payment screens and account-management concepts.
  • QA testing: Test document-upload fields, file-size limits, PDF previews, mobile layouts and form-validation behaviour.
  • Education and training: Explain how household energy statements organise usage, tariffs, meter readings and account balances.
  • Design portfolios: Present document-layout, typography and information-hierarchy skills using fictional project data.

It must not be submitted as evidence of identity, residence, account ownership or utility service.

If You Need a Real EDF Energy Bill

Existing EDF customers can sign in to the official EDF MyAccount service to manage bills, payments, meter readings and account information. EDF also allows customers to access billing information through its mobile app.

If a bill is missing or the account information needs to be corrected:

  1. Sign in to EDF MyAccount.
  2. Open the bills or payment-history section.
  3. Select the relevant billing period and download the available statement.
  4. Contact EDF through its official customer support page if the document is unavailable or the account details are incorrect.

When renting and the energy account is held by the landlord, ask the landlord or letting agent for a legitimate tenancy, occupancy or account-confirmation letter. Such a letter is not an EDF bill, so confirm whether the organisation requesting address evidence accepts it.

Why You Shouldn’t Buy a Completed Utility Bill Online

Purchasing a completed utility document and presenting it as evidence of an account, address or service misrepresents the facts and may constitute fraud. A purchased file does not create an EDF customer account, establish energy service at an address or generate matching supplier records.

Document checks may be compared with account ownership, billing dates, service information and other independently obtained records. As a result, a completed document bought online is unreliable and may lead to rejection, financial loss, account restrictions or legal consequences. The correct solution is to obtain the required document directly from the supplier or provide another legitimate form of address evidence.

EDF Energy Bill Structure

An EDF household energy bill or account statement may include the following sections:

  • Account and billing summary: The opening section commonly identifies the energy account, billing period, statement date, previous balance, payments received, new charges and current balance.
  • Separate fuel calculations: EDF offers electricity, gas and dual-fuel arrangements. For dual-fuel customers, electricity and gas usage is calculated separately, with each fuel having its own readings, unit rate and standing charge.
  • Consumption in kilowatt-hours: Electricity and gas charges are based on energy consumption expressed in kilowatt-hours. The usage section may show opening and closing readings, the consumption used for billing and whether readings were supplied by a smart meter, the customer or an estimate.
  • Unit rate and daily standing charge: The usage charge is calculated by multiplying the number of kilowatt-hours consumed by the applicable unit rate. A daily standing charge is normally added for each supplied fuel, including days when no energy is consumed.
  • Single-rate or multi-rate electricity: A standard electricity tariff may use one unit rate throughout the day. Multi-rate arrangements such as Economy 7 can display separate peak and off-peak consumption rates.
  • Tariff, payment and tax information: The statement may identify the tariff, payment method, Direct Debit activity, credits and VAT. Domestic energy pricing commonly includes VAT at 5%, while actual rates can vary according to region, payment method, tariff and meter type.

The exact arrangement can vary according to the customer’s tariff, supplied fuels, meter configuration, payment method and billing cycle.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use this as a real EDF Energy bill?

No. The template is an independent blank design resource and is not connected to an active EDF account. It cannot establish that EDF supplies energy to a person or address and cannot be used as official evidence of identity, residence or utility service.

Why can’t I fill it in and use it?

Typing personal information into a design file does not create corresponding records in EDF’s customer system. Presenting a self-completed file as a supplier-issued statement would misrepresent its origin and may constitute fraud.

Use only fictional sample information for interface design, testing, education or portfolio presentation.

How do I get a real EDF Energy bill?

Sign in to the official EDF MyAccount, open your billing history and download the statement available for the required period. Customers can also check bills through the EDF mobile app or contact EDF customer service for help.

Does the downloadable template contain personal data?

No. The template is supplied blank and should not contain names, residential addresses, account numbers, meter identifiers or payment information belonging to an actual customer.
