About This Template
PECO, formerly Philadelphia Electric Company, was founded in 1881 and is headquartered in Philadelphia. Today, PECO is Pennsylvania’s largest electric and natural gas utility, serving approximately 1.7 million electric customers and more than 548,000 natural gas customers in southeastern Pennsylvania. The company is part of Exelon and provides electric delivery, natural gas delivery, billing, outage response, and customer service. This template is inspired by the general structure of regulated utility billing layouts, but it is a blank educational design file only.
Why PECO Is the Required Delivery Utility in Its Service Area
PECO is an investor-owned regulated utility serving southeastern Pennsylvania, including the Philadelphia area. For homes and businesses located inside PECO’s delivery territory, PECO remains the electric and natural gas delivery company for that address. Pennsylvania allows customer choice for the energy supplier portion of service, but PECO still manages delivery infrastructure, outages, account billing, and regulated utility service. PECO’s utility operations and many rate matters are overseen by the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission, not by a city council.
What This Template Is For
This PECO utility bill template can be used for:
- UI/UX mockups for utility account dashboards and billing interfaces.
- QA testing for document upload forms and file preview systems.
- Educational examples showing how regulated utility bills are commonly organized.
- Internal design references for PDF, Word, and form layout projects.
It should not be used as proof of address, proof of service, account evidence, or any official document.
If You Need a Real PECO Bill
If you need a real PECO bill, sign in to your official PECO My Account profile and view your billing history, current bill, payment options, or service details. PECO also provides online self-service tools for starting, stopping, or moving service, paying a bill, viewing usage, and managing account settings. If you cannot access your account, contact PECO directly through its official customer support channels. Do not use a design template for any official request.
Why You Shouldn’t Buy a Completed Utility Bill Online
Buying a completed utility bill for verification is fraud because it presents information as if it came from a utility provider when it did not. It also does not work reliably because official checks can compare account status, billing records, service address, payment history, metadata, and issuer details. A purchased completed document can create legal, financial, and account problems. The only safe option for official use is a bill issued directly through PECO.
PECO Bill Structure
A PECO bill is different from utility bills in fully retail-focused markets because PECO remains the regulated delivery utility for customers in its service territory. The bill may show delivery-related charges, supply-related charges, taxes, fees, usage, meter readings, billing period, account details, and payment information. If a customer chooses a competitive energy supplier, that supplier may appear on the bill, but PECO still remains responsible for delivery and account billing. Unlike some municipal providers, PECO bills are not usually combined with city services like water, sewer, or trash collection.
Common PECO-style bill sections may include:
- Account number and billing period
- Service address and mailing address
- Previous balance, payments, and current charges
- Electric or natural gas usage summary
- Meter reading details
- Delivery charges
- Supply charges or Price to Compare information
- Taxes, fees, and adjustments
- Amount due and due date
- Payment stub or payment instructions
- Customer support and outage information

FAQ
Can I use this as a real bill?
No. This template is not issued by PECO and cannot confirm utility service, address, identity, residency, account ownership, or payment history. For any official purpose, use only a bill downloaded from PECO or received directly from PECO.
Why can’t I fill it in and use it?
Filling in a blank design template and presenting it as an official utility bill is fraud. A template is only a layout file for testing, education, and design work. It does not create a valid customer account, billing record, meter record, or service history.
How do I get a real PECO bill?
Log in to your official PECO My Account portal and view or download your bill from the billing section. You can also use PECO’s official self-service tools or contact PECO customer support if you need help accessing your account.
Can I choose a different electricity provider in PECO’s region?
You generally cannot choose a different electric delivery utility for an address served by PECO. PECO remains the delivery utility responsible for the local wires, outage response, and regulated delivery service. However, Pennsylvania allows many customers to choose a competitive energy supplier for the supply portion of their bill. In simple terms: you may be able to choose who supplies the energy, but PECO usually remains the utility that delivers it and manages the bill.
